History of Avery Dennison


The Avery Dennison story started in 1935 when Robert Avery invented the worlds first adhesive label. He started off with a few spare parts a $100 loan and one great idea. Avery invented a smarter way for companies to price their products and from this he went on to pioneer the labelling industry. In 1990 Avery international merged with Dennison manufacturing to become Avery Dennison. Today, Avery Dennison manufacture and distribute labelling and packaging materials in over 50 countries and employ over 25,000 people. Avery Dennison continues to set new standards for quality and innovation in material science.
